是的! Skidmore will plan a number of cultural and social activities in and around London 在学期中. 学生 may also travel independently throughout the U.K. on the weekends or during the mid-学期 break.
While it is not recommended 为 parents to visit while classes are in session, some families may wish to visit their students during the mid-学期 break or at the 节目结束. On the other hand, the break is, 为 many students, a great time to engage in their own independent travel. We do expect that students will meet their academic and programmatic responsibilities regardless of when family and friends visit. Visitors to London, including family, are not permitted to participate in field trips or activities related to the program.
Goods and services cost about twice as much as those in larger U.S. 城市. 返回 students have told us that they were glad they had saved money from their summer jobs to take advantage of the wonderful cultural offerings 在伦敦. 别忘了:学费, room, most meals, local transportation, and many cultural experiences will be pre-paid. 学生 will receive a partial meal plan and a weekly stipend to be used toward food 还有当地的交通. 重返校园

The best way to become a real part of your Skidmore class on your return is to introduce yourself to others, join student clubs, audition 为 plays, try out 为 sports teams, or apply 为 leadership positions. 以前的 participants tell us that being part of a returning group from London helped too, as they had many ‘ready-made’ friendships 到达校园之前.
伦敦呸!咄! students will live on campus when they return to Skidmore f或者是 spring 学期. 学生 will be sent a housing questionnaire to complete in early November 为 spring 学期 housing on campus. The Office of 住宅生活 places students in on-campus housing where space is available, and upper class students have first 住房选择.
You will receive Skidmore credits and grades. Grades count towards your Skidmore GPA.
You will register 为 classes using the Skidmore online registration system in the same manner as the rest of the first-year class. Upper class students have first choice 的课程. Thus, first-year students should plan 为 a flexible range of course choices. The Skidmore faculty directors 在伦敦 serve as faculty advisors f或者是 London FYE students and will advise the students about registering and course selection 为 春季学期.
